Shapers of Dreams

Those Spellbound by Mystical Illusions

Fantasy equal: Hypnos

After a hard day’s work we retreat to our personal asylum, where we rest aching muscles and revitalize weary minds. Once Hypnos enchants your being, your senses are dulled and your subconscious takes control. For the next eight hours, your subconscious presents you with a vision of sorts; a dream.

A dream can take on many forms. By the will of Hypnos a dream is unveiled based on past, current or future events in your life. Sometimes a dream replays a past event and brings forth its deeper meaning. Sometimes a dream takes the form of a premonition and warns you of an immanent danger. And sometimes, when Hypnos feels you are deserving of something special, he brings forth your deepest, darkest sexual desires.

Hypnos has great power over the dominion of sleep and dreams. So much so that he can manipulate the physical by directing your mind and desires. This would explain why you find yourself with a morning glory... and in those intense cases; you might even need to exchange undies.

As you have gathered, Hypnos must be some greater power of sleep and slumber. He is in fact the Ancient Greek God of Sleep. The following collection depicts those who are under his spell.

“Hypnos was the god of sleep in Greek mythology. He is generally depicted in myth and literature as a gentle, benevolent force who brings the restorative gift of sleep to mortals and gods alike.”
